Watchman with Lawnmower

Sea Turtles Love Me......
This is a very newbie question. Will a yellow watchman and a lawnmower get along.

My yellow watchman is a jerk he is always mad and goes after anything that gets near his burrow. I am concerned that the yellow will bully the lawnmower to jump. Live aquaria says they are ok together but my watchman chases off fire fish gobys and chromis.

does anyone else have a very angry watchman.

I used to have a lawnmower blenny that chesed my watchman goby around all day long, I ended up seperating them. Probably not the case in bigger aquariums but in a 46gallon it was not a good idea.

I have a diamond watchman and a lawnmower in my 75. They get along just fine and neither chases the other. They really don't pay attention to each other. That's my experience.

I don't think the Sailfin Blenny is easily intimidated. It might just give your watchman an arse-whoopin

Something needs too. the yellow and his buddy (pistol) have taken up front and dead center of my tank which i like because i can see them both great, but he is so grumpy he even gets after my flame angel now and again. I am wanting the lawnmower to help with a lil hair algae + i just wanted one anyways. I know that I will have to tear the tank apart to catch the yellow, and I think the same can be said if i put in a lawnmower and things go badly. So i am trying to feel out the waters first.

I would say they would be fine. I actually have both a Lawnmower Blenny & Yellow Watchman Goby paired with Pistol Shrimp in my tank & they interact fine. As a matter of fact, I very rarely ever see them in proximity together in my 55 gal. My goby will posture defensively when something gets close to its burrow, but it is quick & assertive, nothing I believe that would directly cause the Blenny to go to surface & jump out. My goby won't chase anything more than 3-4 inches. It retracts instantly after quick defesive gesture to go back to where the pistol is. Protect but not chase seems to be its behavior.

54g, starry-blenny (much like lawnmower)and ywg with pistol shrimp. YWG blusters and gapes, no more than that. He's disturbed by the starry, so he gapes at old tankmates, too, lately, but he is calming down. Both will do fine.

If you have a linear rock arrangement, you might insert a couple of pillars to make it a little less a straight-line pursuit and visually define territory.

This is an older picture but rock work is the same. The low flat rock dead center is where the yellow hangs out so maybe i will move some stuff around to break up the long open run of the front of my tank. I am going to find a lawnmower today or tomorrow so we will see how it works out.

Sk8r I have read so many of your posts I think that i could pick your cat out of a line up of 50! :)
