Water storage container

I am looking at setting up a 70 ish gallon vertical storage tank to mix saltwater ... I was thinking of going with a conical tank to force the salt to the bottom to mix ... Has anyone used a setup like this ? Where to buy?

There are lots of places online. Most popular manufacturer is ace roto mold. I personally would steer clear of the cone shaped one and just get a normal cylinder. All salt will be going to the bottom on any shape and that cone one makes getting good flow hard to achieve. I've got 2 55g vertical rectangles and work out great.

I live 7 miles from ace roto mold and they dont allow for pickup's. Great tanks but shipping gets spendy for them

I just use a standard 50 gallon tall (skinnier) tank for our RODI and saltwater.

Have a powerhead on a timer for the saltwater. Never had an issue with it not mixing well and staying mixed.

thanks for the feedback everyone - I currently use a 55 gallon brute container, but, I was looking for something larger to mix up larger quantities at once .. I like the concept of the cone bottom, but, they are quite a bit more expensive and harder to find ... I just wasn't sure if it was worth the added cost/hassle.

That's why I haven't got a nice vertical tank yet either... Tanks are only like $90 but they want another $90-100 freight per tank on top of that!

If you can do with a 55gal, USplastic offers them with reasonable shipping costs. You don't have to pay freight charges.

Honestly, unless you can come up with a way to inject water through the bottom of the cone I think the salt would all gather at the point and it would be difficult to get it to dissolve.
