Wavetimer for 6025s

Can anybody recommend a wave timer for a pair of nano stream 6025 streams. I have pair of these coming from premium aquatics. I realize that they have to stay on a minimum of 15 minutes. I am just looking for a decent timer that doesn't cost a ton of money and is solidly built. I hear the coralife strip is absolute junk and can be dangerous (has a tendency to burst into flames).

I want to alternate flow between these streams with perhaps a 5 minute or so overlap.

Thanks,

G

They burst into flames when you spill saltwater on them or overload them. That is really the best option and any timer/ power strip would do the same if it gets wet or is overloaded.

I have a ReefKeeper 2 and hooked both of mine up to the wavemaker. I noticed that the nano's had a scraping sound at each start up and pulled them from the wavemaker because of it.

The manual says no wavemakers. I've seen the possibility of using a timer as a possibility on this forum.

Can I put them on a timer successfully or not?

Peace

Kevin

They will make a noise when they start, this is unavoidable and has to do with the directional rotation correction system. They can be safely alternated at 30 minute intervals, a timer is fine, it could be that the Reefkeeper has some sort of soft start and the Nano Streams are very particular on the start up voltage demand, it must be between 102 and 130V or it will not run properly. This would aggrevate any start up noise.
