OK, so no, it hasn't.................Been a rough year, and this week took the cake. Some of you have already seen what has happened via my build thread. I'm uploading a few more pics to add to it, but here is the location of the pertinent, recent, details:
Jeremy's 250g Build Thread - Take II
I'll just warn you now, it's not pretty. I lost nearly all of my acros, blastos, chalices, wrasses.....you name it, it's gone. Other than the wrasses, the fish made it, as well as the favias and zoas, and some of thee montis. Short version: temp controller malfunction, as far as I can tell, which cranked the heat up.
With all that has already been going on personally, this is just too much. I have decided to break the tank down and sell it. Once life settles down again, I will be back, but I can't handle this now. A series of FS threads will appear over the next few days, as I salvage what I can, and hunker down to ride out my own personal financial dilemas. If you know of anyone who is interested in a spectacular reef setup, consisting of a 80"x24"x30" acrylic tank and furniture grade stand and canopy, please let me know. I'll be trying to figure out pricing in my "spare time".
This is obviously an unpleasant thing to deal with, and I've been contemplating taking the tank down anyhow. This just sealed the deal. I have very much enjoyed meeting you all, both on and off the boards. While I won't have a tank for a while, I'll still definitely be around here on RC. I'm still debating setting up a nano-ish tank, but I need to get through the next few days before I decide on that. Thanks to everyone that has made this journey enjoyable, with particular thanks to a few reefers, and good friends, Mark Poletti, Jim Sotello, and Tim Plaza. There are many others that I'd add to the list, but I've already been extraordinarily long winded, and I've got photobucket waiting and my thread to update.
