what anemone for tomatoe clown?

so whats a good host for a tomato clownfish?

carpet?

my pink condy is obviously not a good choice. as hes about to get bagged and go back to the LFS

good choice is to wait till the tank has cycled
then a BTA or H crispa would be a good idea

i would not reccomend any anemone under that small amount of light sorry
those coralife units are small you could put three or 4 more of them on the tank or consider a T5 unit with individual reflectors.(to make t5s competitive they require individual reflectors).
anemones are found in very shallow water where they receive a ton of light they require a large amount of light to survive mh or T5ho with individual reflectors is reccomended

the metal halides are comming in 3 weeks .. gotta wait for payday. we all know how that goes. than ill either switch teh 10k light to another blue and use it as supplment or move it down to light my sump. with a 10k and a 6.7k for plants

im planning on getting the odessy 2007 model ( comes with t5 HO instead of CF bulbs). yes yes i know everyone hates them. but they are in my budget. im going to open it up and have my dad ( retired yacht electriction ) give it a once over with a meter and possibly rewire it with a larger gauge wire if he deems it nessasry.

good plan when does the one with t5 come out i havent seen that one that could be too much light 500w mh plus another 100 or more t5 on a 40br when i say too much light i really mean too much heat

ah i see now i would be wary of any 175 w de MH, That is a bulb that you will have allot of trouble finding replacements for but you could replace it with 150w MH ballasts and it would work

yeah im all about customizing it a little bit. i just need a good baseline to start from.
but just got that condy off my rock so off the the LFS i go sadly i think im going to bring home a gbta cant reist some things in my tank.... and you in fear of my tank not being cycled belive me i understand where your comming from i just have that fear. and hey in a few weeks maybe you can say i told yah so. but im looking at my test kits and results and all signs are pointing to go.

you can do whatever you want I broke all the rules with my first anemone but i waited at least a month and a half
plus you cant keep a BTA with the light your have 3 weeks till you order the new light then another 2 weeks or more waiting to get that

picked up a neon pink bubble tip.. hes about the size of a quarter. ! so cute!
