What are some cool red fish that are cheap for 45g?

I second bookfish on H.TANAKA... he actually has a thread here on RC regarding wrasses and awsome pics of them as well.

I wouldn't do a red coris as they are NOT reef friendly and get huge to 12" or so... ,will flow over frags looking for food , demolish your inverts and smaller fish. I had a 4" before and he was already a hell raiser...

You can either do the net canopy like some people are doing or like mine which has a clear acrylic right on top of the holes.

You might be pushing it with flasher wrasses. They do not typically adjust well in a tank with more aggressive fish when they are added last. If your fish killed a firefish, I would certainly not trust them with flasher wrasses.

my clowns are 1 inches if I get a bigger wrasse I think all will be fine. the clowns only picked on the firefish because it was the same size.

actually wrasses even fairy are far less timid than firefish.. I've seen some of my fairy's even snap back at my mystery at times.. even my tiny carpenter flasher.. I'd worry more if those clowns are maroon as they basically are killers too.

Charles you got a nice collection of wrasses, last time I came I did notice the mystery poking at everyone but other fight back. Where did you get your carpenter wrasse? was it from chris?
