M miston Premium Member Mar 13, 2006 #1 I'm ordering a 12g Nano Cube DX modded from nanocustoms. It will be outfitted with 4 x 24watt power compacts. My bulb options are: -- 10,000K Daylight -- 50/50: 10,000K / 7100K -- Actinic Blue thanks!

WaterKeeper Bogus Information Expert Premium Member Mar 13, 2006 #3 I agree; the 10,000 K coupled with the actinic should provide a wide spectrum. See The Lighting Thread for the complete story.

M miston Premium Member Mar 13, 2006 #4 I was thinking of going with: 2 10,000K Daylights 1 Actinic 1 50/50 because I don't like too much of a blue look, to me brighter white the better, but I assume some actinic is good for color and coral growth is this okay?

WaterKeeper Bogus Information Expert Premium Member Mar 13, 2006 #5 Yip, but the 50/50 bulbs kind of leave me wondering about their output.
Aadler New member Mar 13, 2006 #6 I run 1 10k and 1 actinic on my mb7(64w) and i have no problem with it being to blue. I say it is almost to white.

M miston Premium Member Mar 13, 2006 #7 here's a pic of what it would look like if I went with the 10,000K, actinic, 50/50 combo EDIT: sorry, that's only 3 bulbs.....imagine one more 10,000K
