What could be wrong with these zo's?

A few days ago I noticed a polyp or two closed up in this colony.
I figured it was aggravated by a fich or caught something from the water column.

Today I noticed that half the colony is closed up.

Here are the best pics I can get.

Any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Sean

Thanks Skip, I will.

I just hope that Petsmart or Petco carry it.
No LFS around here.

If not I'll have to order it online...like everything else. ;)

I would do a WC, to keep the water parameters prestine, until you get the order in. Having good water parameters helps keep the polyps in decent to ok shape until the meds come in and allows you to dose. Basically buying time for yourself.

Does zoapox just decimate the colony it is on or can it spread to other different zo colonies?

it can spread, although IME in a healthy tank it seems to stay isolated to the originally afflicted colonies, and even if it does pop up here and there(typically in p0laces of low light and lower flow), it will subside on its own if it is just a few pox

I had a colony of zoas get pox a few months ago. I never dipped them or anything. They stayed closed for a week or so and then most of the polyps opened up perfectly normally. There were still a couple polyps that had the pox and those took a while to finally open up. I think if you have a really healthy tank the zoas can sometimes get over the zoa pox themselves. In the future I will dip them in Furan 2, even though I got lucky this time.

It took forever for the Furan 2 to arrive.
Got it today and just did my first dip.

Here are the zo's from the 3 May.

And what they looked like today, still a few polyps open.
