What do I do with them?

My neighbors just dropped off a scallop and some type of snail that they collected down in Naples for me since they know I have a SW tank. It was a nice gesture but.....

What do I do with them? Do you think they are safe for the tank?
I think that the scallop will be okay. I have no idea what kind of snail this thing is. Camera is dead or I would take a picture.

I personally wouldn't put them in, they could have parasites or something.
Definitely QT if you do keep them.
Tell them one of your fish ate them or something!

Well, the scallop is really a Gaint Atlantic Cockle.

The snail looks like Shark Eye (Polinices duplicatus) which according to Nat'l Audubon Society Field Guide to NA Seashore Creatures says that it feeds on clams and mollusks!!! That is not going in the tank.
