What do u dip ur zoa and plays in?

Distiller water with Lugol's Solution.

Not sure I'd recommend fresh water that causes saltwater coral's cells to essentially dissolve and super-stress them while hitting them with iodine that doesn't kill pests and also stresses them... I think that might actually be worse than nothing imo

I do not have a QT tank. If I do a Bayer dip would it be fine to follow up with 2 saltwater dips before putting the coral in the display? My zoas used to open up perfectly but now only one out of 6 opens up at all and even it doesn't look the best. I can't see any pests in there and I'm trying to find ways to help bring them back.

Have you tried Furan-2 in case it's something bacterial? Bayer wouldn't hurt to try either.

I still use MuchoReef's recipe - fresh water with Lugol's iodine and Salifert flatworm exit. Seems to work well enough that I don't see a need to change.

Bayer might not help with this issue. Bayer is a pesticide, you might wanna try a peroxide and or an iodine dip, I have had good luck with them when my zoa don't look that good. And with in a few hrs they start to come back to life.

What is your recipe for a Peroxide Dip?

+1 on Bayer dip and Furan-2 for Pox. I also QT everything for 30 days before it goes into the main display.

If its frags, I usually just use revive and coral RX. If I collect them, then I usually use 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water. Nukes any crazy algae that growing on them.

Wow this solves all my problems right here! Looks like I'll be going to HD for some Bayer. I normally dip my zoas in 50/50 tank water and H2O2 for 5 min. Looks like I'll be adding Bayer to the recipe! Glad I found this thread!
