Home depot has led spotlights in 5k color temp that work killer. I got a few Phillips ones on the clearance shelf for like $15 each.. Also have a ecosmart one that's good.. All the ones I have are the 90w( I think) equivalent spotlights.
I even kept a Bta under one for a few months when I had to take one in an emergency from a friend and it kept it healthy and living.. Not reccomending that but shows a testament to how strong they are..
I use a 9.5w philips led bulb from Home Depot on a metal work light clamp. If you are using the metal clamps be careful not to get a bulb that is too heavy. Many of the higher wattage led bulbs are kind of hefty.
Growth has been good so far. Before i was using a 23w cfl that degraded fairly quickly.
It maybe over kill but rapidleds 12 LED PAR38 Bulb (Mixed Color with UV) works GREAT on chaeto! It is pricey but at 19 watts, I love what it brings to the table.
