What factors impact the rate of new polyp formation?

I have 2 frags of nuclear green from the same colony that are in 2 different locations and the one being shaded by a bubble coral has reproduced twice as fast as the one under direct light so its not always true about the more light is better IME

I agree water flow and quality with light are very important. But when I dose with vitamin C my Spider Mans and more rare zoa's do ALOT better.

from my experience, zoas grow much better simply by being in an established setup with parameters that stay stable. By established, i mean at least 6 months old.

Stable parMeters, new additions acclimatized to tank environment properly
No predators and just leaving them alone

Chuck I couldn't agree more. Leaving polyps alone and untouched after proper placement is but one of the many variables which will lead to increased polyp stability thus growth.
