What type of super glue could I use to mount corals onto live rock? I was affraid of getting a glue that could mess up my tank.

any Cyanoacrylate glue should be fine for the tank, i get it at the dollar store 3 tubes for $1

I sprung for the ecotech and it's worth it. accounting the volume the price isn't that off and it seems to work better than the other gel glues Ive used.

I like to use a combo of cyanoacrylate gel (super glue) and the 2 part epoxy stick. Makes a moldable sticky plug that most corals (SPS & some lps ) can encrusted over for a solid purchase on the reefscape.

Thank you all. Ill try the combination of epoxy and super glue. I like the idea of sps encrusting over it.

Be careful with getting epoxy on your hands. I used it when I set up my original tanks and was super allergic to it and is tough to get off.

I use , super glue gel. cyanoacrylate . Dollar store 3 tubes for $1. Sometimes I use epoxy with it .

This is the stuff I was talking about. Its different than regular 2 part epoxy mixes. Doesn't really stick to your fingers.

I break off a piece, mix It together by rolling it together. I put a dap of super glue gel on top and one on the bottom. Then I dunk it it the tank. This semi-cures the superglue. Then I plunge the frag into the top and place it on the rocks.

If anything, the super glue makes more of a mess than the epoxy stick.

I will say this, if you're mounting a bunch of frags with epoxy stick, be prepared. I'm not sure what the chemical reaction is, and its harmless to your aquaria, but your Skimmer will go bonkers for a day or two.

Be sure to wear gloves and mix in ventilated area when combining epoxy and glue gel....that's a potent cocktail but nice combo.
