I lost my baby clown fish this morning. After looking at this body out of the water it seems like he drifted into the MP10 last night. I did a small water change and have now started looking for another fish.

Hi peeps..just finished plumbing in new sump(..helps to be. A plumberlol) all new pvc. Isolation valves..r/o water top off.and my coals love..ohhh and put my canister 1000 back on too..I cleaned and do water changes every Thursday. .tank is insanely development of coraline..2- 250 watt metal halide with 300 watts of supplement blue and dark blue attinic. .and a condenser above tank so it will circulate the air in room from heat so when water evaporates it will refill with r/o water on its own. ..ohhhhh and I get free ac..70 degrees in mancave ahhhhh..relief. ..

So I came home and my jabeo return pump was not running. Apparently my pump did not restart after feed mode the previous evening. So I pulled the pump and cleaned it and fired it back up. Forgot that my dosing pumps had been dosing into the sump since the pump had gone off. So when I fired it back up I hit the tank with higher alk. It seems to be doing ok but I hope there is no bad effects. So I have also had a flat worm issue especially in the sump and decided to use this occurrence to isolate the sump, medicate it, and water change it. In the process found out why i am having a red algae, cyano issue. My tunze top off magnet holder was rusting. Really? for that kind of price i expected better. I could not believe all the flatworms, cleaned the sump, and skimmer, hammered the tank with alkalinity, fixed the float switch holder and water changed the sump. Ah the joys of owning a tank.

No, I took apart the float switch and mounted in on an acrylic holder that will never rust. Problem solved.

No it just has the mechanical float switch. I plan on putting some redundant switches in the sump. I just have not had a moment to get those projects done.

50g wc last night. I also put 30 snails in the mantis tank to help clean up the algae that was growing on the rocks since they had been in the lightless sump. He's already destroyed prolly 10 or more in the past couple days. I dunno if they're going to get a chance to clean the tank before they're wiped out. Lolz
