What have you done with your tank lately?

I went to do a water change, and I saw water dripping from my RODI input line. I traced it back to where it split off at my washer. My refrigerator was leaning against it, so I moved it over. Turns out that was the last straw. The pressure had cracked the adapter. When I moved the fridge, the crack finished breaking and the whole thing fell off - water coming out at full blast. Long story short, I had a long dirty, sweaty, wet night. And not the kind I'm into.

Hooked up my chiller for the first time and left the room. The output hose popped out of the sump and started to drain the sump. Luckily I noticed the cloudy tank and caught it just as the return compartment emptied.

On a side note, the drain i put in the floor of my equipment room appears to be working.

Ive been busy on bringing the 120 back to life. I took the starborad out and reworked to rocks, put the skimmer back on, changed out the old halides to radiums, and pulled the calcium reactor out to send to Geo for some much needed mods

I also added to clown fish from keggos mantis tank

Thinking about adding 20ish more pounds of live rock. I won't be able to really scape it but I have some space at the back of my tank to just pile it up. I want to get some of that stuff that looks like long branches to add some height at the back of my tank. That way I have lots of space to mount all the monti frags I have my eye on.

Cheers Tom

Mounted my sand dollar monti in its permanent spot. It seems to enjoy the flow, it has colored up to a nice bright light pink and cream. I know montis are considered easy corals, but I really enjoy them. They are quickly becoming my favorites.

Cheers
Tom
mute it,

What mods did you request?

-Mike

I have the 510 reactor which uses a maxi jet for recirculation and want it changed to a eheim and have a bubble counter installed instead of using a remote bubble counter. I can't fit a 6 inch reactor under the tank due to space

I spent some time in the basement yesterday and suspended my ro container above my saltwater mixer in order to save some space.

Thank you sir! Really trying hard to get back into the swing of things. Next on my list is mounting my auto top off somewhere, then I need to get my water clarity back. I can see the color difference in the sand from end to end and it really bugs me!!

picked up a onespot foxface and did a 15 gallon water change, also ordered a light for my sons 12 gallon nano that should be in Friday - looking to add some more LR to my tank and pick up a few fish next week for my son's

Any fish suggestions for a 12 gallon? Thinking maybe a goby/pistol pair and 1 other fish

Goby/shrimp combos are awesome, and they help stir the sandbed so it doesn't get stagnant.

I've had this nem for a couple years. When I first got it, I built this rock tower for him and he stayed reluctantly, but about 2 years ago I had a kid and the tank got neglected. Add to that the fact that the spot was low on flow and light compared to the rest of the tank... Anyway the mag took a walk, and of all things, planted himself right on my front glass. Finally, I am taking care of the tank again. I added 2 powerheads just for him, and a 120w LED directly over that rock. I also have cleaned up a lot, but it's still in the works, so don't mind the mess. I moved the mag back to the rock tower and he seems happy for only 24 hours in place. Hopefully he'll stay this time. :)

Haha thanks, but it's still a long way from where I want it. I need a tang that'll clean up all that algae... Six turbos doesn't seem to make a dent.

It has came a long way since I seen it. Good job Brad. Before long it will look better than ever. A little at a time goes a long way.

Got my 30g frag tank stand built, tank plumbed and going with no leaks, and lights turned on. Just put first inhabitants in it in prep for swap. Will post a couple of pics when I figure out how to do it from tapatalk
