What have you done with your tank lately?

Has been about 4 weeks since I started GFO...maybe 3 I forgot to track it at first. So I have a new notebook to track WC's and GFO/Carbon changes as well as testing results (I know I should have done this from the beginning) so I upped my GFO from 1 Tbsp per 4g to 2 Tbsp per 4g and increased my carbon a bit too. Also cleaned out the detritus from part of my fuge after removing half the rubble looking for something that fell in and wasn't even in there. Then I topped off what water I took out with new saltwater.

Put a couple frags for the CDP in the 120 and added a new skimmer.

This thing kicks pirate booty:

cleaned out my frag tank so i can start putting frags in it and sold the photon 48 and picked up some radions and made a diy rail kit and hanging kit. i plan on buying the actual hanging kit for them since mine dont look all that fancy but they work for now. im hopeing i can get my nitrates down so i can get some sps growth and color. i have a lot more i want to do over the winter.

I will make a whole thread with moving pics and before and after pics. I love the look of the black sand so far but I am not going to post a pic until I get the rock work just right. Maybe I can finish tonight or before PN.

Hurry it up already. Jk

Just be careful if you use a magnet to clean the glass/acrylic, the sand will stick to the magnet and scratch it up.

When I bought the sand I took my glass cleaning magnet to the store. I ran it over the bags and nothing moved that I saw. I haven't unpacked my magnet from the move yet to check again because I razor bladed the whole tank when it was empty.

Trying it again.

Trying it again.

I had back surgery two months ago and looks like I will be having another one. So I have decided to try raising clown fish once again. I've got nothing else to do.

Sorry to hear about the problems with your back Darrell. I hope the next surgery corrects the problem.

You know clowns, that's for sure. If I remember correctly, you had quite the setup to breed clowns a while back. I saw it during one of the poker runs.

I never totally figured it out right. It's a lot of work. But since I can't work at my job. I have nothing better to do.

Here is some old pictures.

I would love to buy a couple clowns from a breeder. If you have a couple come Jan-Feb let me know... I'll be ready for a pair to go in the QT then.
