Cut the main water line to the house and brazed in a water valve so I can have water in my "fish room". Fingers crossed it doesn't leak! I'll update what happened.

So Ive had a RBTA thats been wondering around my 60 for weeks,running over corals,knocking stuff off their perches etc. so I decided to move him to the 40 with the mantis and the clowns I have in there. When I stuck my hand in the tank it felt a bit cool so I tossed my temp. probe into that tank to test it. We're sitting at 75 right now. Ive had the heater set at 79 this whole time and thought it was at that temp.
The mantis and clowns that have been in there have been doing great so I might raise it a couple degrees for the nem but like they say it it ain't broke...

I did a 30 gallon wc, new gfo and carbon and vacuumed the crap out of the sump using a old shop vac.
Gave the skimmer a good vinegar bath which lead into a oh crap. I'm not sure if the muffler for the air intake is really ment to come apart
It was pretty nasty inside the muffler.I did try a dab of weldon 16 to reseal it. It apeared to only have a dab from the factory. Well of course it came apart when putting the skimmer back in the sump. So I'm 2 1/2 hours into this tonight and the skimmer will get plugged in lol. If anything breaking the muffler say to say helped or at least didn't harm the performance. Tomorrow should tell the story but here's a few pics 1 hour after running. Yeah I still need to clean up the outside lol

I set up on of the LED's I got over my fuge section in the sump to test them out. I placed a small frag rack with 3 frags about 12" under the water and the light is about 16" above the water. 50% max intensity for now to see what happens.
I hope it works well so I can replace the MH lighting before the summer heat hits.

it was having problems from the start... the first time i dipped it it seemed to help... the second time..... not so much. but i put it in pife's tank and then it died ... so its his fault. mine on the other hand is doing amazing! lol

Cleaned my skimmer today after about 13 months of not being cleaned. The wife did not appreciate me cleaning it in the bathtub, but hey...sacrifices. Also added more Kent Tech M to kill bryopsis. The training of the filefish to eat aiptasia in the sump seems to be working. So far he has cleared every rock that I have put with him, so he got a few more rocks today. Hoping he will continue these habits in the display. Also re-programmed my ReefAngel controller. It was a productive day.

Finished my water changing fill plumbing to the sump. Getting glass cut for the sump compartments tomorrow.

Ive had an Eheim 2217 canister filter sitting around unused for a while so I decided to rinse the media real good along with the filter itself. I got it going on the mantis tank. I figured once I put the 58g in the wall for the mantis I can use the canister and the 40 hes currently in for a QT.
