What have you done with your tank lately?

I added 3 yellow tangs to the tank that have been in QT for a few weeks. I put them in acclimation box (Thanks Pife) for 24 hours before releasing them to make sure noone was going to be a bully ,namely the blue hippo. Everyone seems to be getting along famously as it stands.

Took water samples to the LFS for testing, (I dont have an ammonia test kit).
Water on the 120 showed ammonia at less than 10 ppm...and there is most definitely algae growing on the rocks and sand.

6 damsels and a bottle of Dr Tim's one and only (60 gallon size....didnt see that until after I added it...doh!), was added on 03-09-16. Less than 10 days and I'm all but done with the cycle is amazing to me.....

I'll still take things slow when adding livestock. I'm hoping to have everything moved over to the 120 by December....but I was also expecting things to take at least a month to get to this stage, so who knows....

what type of light dude? Pictures of this build? :D :D

pictures I say!

Just to put things in a proper time perspective, here is the light he is upgrading from, which was state of the art when he started.

I shot cherry coke out of my nose. well played.

I finally got a couple pictures. It's an ATI.

returned home from vacation to find my tank exploding with green hair algae. My auto feeder likes to really fatten my fish up, it dumps tons of food in lol. Oh well, it will go back to normal soon. At least for now my tangs super happy.

Sold more rock out of the tank. Things are getting pretty sad looking. Excuse the water marks, but there isn't much to look at anymore. :(

Mitesh:( That tank was gorgeous and you passed on a lot of corals over the years, so very nice legacy:thumbsup: I'm sure your next tank will be even nicer:)

Tore out my existing sump/refugium/CA reactor and Frag tank stands. Replaced the 4 stands with 1 big long one. Replaced modded 75g sump to a ART sump 5'x2'x18". Replaced my existing circulation pump (Panworld 250PS) with a new Vectra L1. Replumbed most of the entire system. Added a Vortech powerhead.

Still need to finish plumbing my manifolds and the line going straight to the waste water. Dont know if I am going to run my skimmer in sump or external, nor do I know yet if I will run the waste line directly down the drain. Any thoughts?

And pics will be forthcoming once I finish it all. Still need to put my refugium back online. my CA reactor, Skimmer, and my new 6' frag tank.

You had a very busy weekend.

Thanks nook! Can't wait to get the new one set up in June. The build is half the fun. Close to 30 SLASH members bought at least 1 thing out of the tank, so it's nice to know everything will be going to good homes and hopefully I was able to convince a few non-members to join in on the fun!

Post pictures of your next build when it comes!
