What if you can't feed Anthias 3 times a day?

SDGuy essentially nailed it in his 5 1/2 year old post: depends on the species. The bigger ones, particularly bartletts and lyretails, though squares and bimacs too, will adapt to less frequent feedings (they're also quite likely to take pellets). Try that with the smaller species like resplendents and you'll not be successful.

Another thing to note is at minimal feeding you probably are not getting the health and colors out of your anthia that you could have, they tend to dull up w/out a varied diet and multiple feedings.
This is an old thread, I started using an eheim and NLS right after this and have not stopped, works like a charm.
When I come home I thaw a mix of frozen, not much more than what I normally would feed all other fish, I just divide that feeding by squirting w/ a baster every couple hours in the evening.

Auto feeder is the only way to go.
Ideally you train them on dry/pellet food. Otherwise you need to find a feeder that can handle frozen or liquid foods.
I know in the 80s a guy in Germany used a lab dosing pump to feed live brine shrimp nauplia every half hour throughout the light period. If that worked back then, it should be even easier today with an Apex or similar controller and a bidirectional dosing pump.
If that's something you don't wanna do, don't get Anthias.
