What is my perc doing when he jerks/seizes?

My male perc, usually after feeding, will be swimming around when all of a sudden he'll do these little jerks. Its hard to describe. He basically just has these little spasms. They are very brief, but usally come in succession. Is this some type of behavior or is my clown just a weirdo?

Do you have a female perc with him? That is usually a sign of submission on his part.

He is doing is little sexy dance I have a mated pair of Damsels and the male does this nearly non stop. I don't care for Damsels, but it's so darn cute that I have to keep them Congrads, you have a mated pair on its way!

mine does the "oh SHNAP shes gunna bite my head off!!" dance every time shes awake and he tries to get near the nem, as he shoots off somewhere safer. She won't let him near the nem during the day. Ah the downsides of protandromy.

hmmm, well I have never noticed a female doing the sexy dance, has anyone else? Is she old enough to determine that she is indeed a she? If not, then yes, it would be doing the little dance from the reflection, but if it is a she, then honestly, I do not know.

Female's also do a sexy dance ... except it's not to impress; rather for dominance or acceptance/rebuttle to or of the male's waggle.
