What is the standard garuantee on a fish purchase?

You know this for a fact of every single fish store? I don't even know my LFS policy, but gauging on the way he has worked with me on returns I am sure he would figure out something.

Not true. I've had 4 different stores take dead animals (fish or corals) and refund or exchange when I had recently purchased from them. This wasn't standard for any of them, as I had gone past their 48 hour guarantee, but I had good relationships with all of them. One of them would even let me take dying corals for free to see if I could save it.

you guys are lucky, we get no guarantee up here ..

if I owned an LFS, I would offer no garantee neither ... too many ppl buying fish before educating themselves.

I've seen other stores that have 14 day guarantees. They're the exception, no doubt about it, but they exist (at least, in the US they do).

I haven't been in the hobby for a while but am getting back into it, I have had only the guarantee of it gets out the door alive.
