What is this thorny thing? A worm?

The spiny white thing... I know it's hard to see, but it looks mean.

looks like maybe a bristle worm. I just pulled one out of my rock last night.

This is pure white. No red on it.
It also doesn't have bristles. Those are sharp pointy thorns.

yes.. but very slowly. It's gone now. I would have gone after it, but it really looked dangerous.

Yes it does. Haha. I would try to trap it. If it moves slowly you could try to grab it with some tongs. I doubt that it is benevolent.

That first picture kind of looks like a eunice worm. Does it have 5 tentacles on the head?
