what kind of clownfish do I have

She and the male were sold to me as Amphiprion Allardi, but after posting pictures of my anenome and one of the mods saying Allardi would not have been there first guess I looked it up and am questioning the ID myself. Pic is from my phone.

that wuld be the closest I have seen, so far, to what my clownfish looks like. The only problem is that there is not that much yellow on its belly. It looks like mine still might have the juvenile pattern for Allardis.

Can't quite make out the coloration of the tail, looks like a Mauritian Clownfish (A. chrysogaster).
While the photo linked off wetweb is indeed A. chrysogaster(an RC Members in fact), flasher's photo is not A. chrysogaster.

This is the photo provided where I said:

Allardi? Would not have been my first guess, have a clear side shot?

Hm, fooled me! What traits do you look for to differentiate the Allardi and Chrysogaster?

Either way, I think I know what clownfish I'll be getting next. :)

traveller what do you think it is then...Allardi? Clarkii?
I am not the best of the ID crew by any means, but based on what I seen come in on the East Coast, I would be leaning Allardi.

On your other thread, Marina seems to think it is juv. clarkii. She has had a bunch of allardi so factor that in :>)

Do you have more pics, and what size is the one in the pic? It's not a gaster, so don't worry about that.

she is about 1.5-2". I do not have any other pictures. My friend has an DSLR so I will try to get him to come over and take some pics for me.

Does the white trim on the top of the tail connect to the tail bar? I'm leaning towards allardi.

Unless you've underestimated her size, I don't believe it's an Allardi. My vote goes to Juv. Clarkii, as well.

lol...I would prefer not to factor that in seeing as paid $100 for 2 Allardi's.
Juvie clarkii complex is tough, best plan, grow them out and enjoy them.

It is a nice looking fish :)
