What lighting are you using?

27 gallon cube - 18-24 Current LED for sunrise/sunset. 150HQI for main light. Just ordered a 14,000k Phoenix to replace the stock bulb. Mixed LPS zoas at the bottom, more zoas and a couple of LPS in the middle more zoas and Florida ricordias at the top.

i use those longated lightbulbs at about 80 watts i find that having less power allows me to be more precise with how i control my tank epsecially since many of my tanks are planted and on sunny days wont need much of a strong light source

Biocube 29Radion xr15w pro, I have had every type of light so far, I started with a kessil 150, loved it, but eventually broke down the tank. Then I had a ebay black box led, but I wasn't very happy with the color or the programability. Then I had a kessil a350, loved it, but again, no way to control it.

Finally went with the radion, a bit on the pricey side, but so far to me it was well worth the money, amazing color, sleek, zero noise and most of all I can do anything I could dream with when it comes to programming, I can control literally every led at any time of the day and program it all in. Growth has been amazing as well, I can't say enough about this light.

I've decided to order the reefbrite XHO LED 15" ALL Blue. I actually seen it on a friend RSM 130D just like mines. And keeps it on for 10 hours a day. Looks amazing and there is coral growth. Will be ordering one from Premium Aquatics.

I have an 18×18×18" cube and used to run a kessil a350. I loved it. The kessil's are in my opinion the best leds out there (although I admit I have not owned a Radion...yet). I currently use a reefbrite halide/led combo pendant with a 250 watt radium and two XHOs. This combo is absolutely killer! I loved leds but they just can't compete with the classic radiums. Corals colored up even more and growth exploded after the switch.

Kessil a350w on a 34 g Solana, I really like it, my frogspawn growth has been off the charts.

DIY Cree kit on a 14g bio cube, hate it. I don't like the coloring, the whole thing is just kind of hokey, I get funky algae and to many things to mess with. The kessil just works for me.

I imagine my tank will look exactly like this with the exception of a BRS reactor hanging behind it. I will be going to the radion pro sooner or later this year and going open top. I have had to cut away way too much of my biocube hood to fit the aquamaxx and plumbing for the reactor. Digging the rimless look as well. Sure a bit more maintenance I am sure with more evap but it looks sleek.

As for the thread my current lighting is a rapid LED aurora puck. My livestock all seem to love it and I am able to adjust each of the four channels via my apex just fine.

My Frogspawn is growing like crazy under kessils too (originally the 150, now 2 160s)

Ordered a prime to replace a 5x3watt Solarflare on our 12 gallon nano.

Rumor has it they are to arrive at the distributor today. I should be getting mine Tuesday if they get shipped out same day. Fingers crossed
