What lighting are you using?

Right now:
29gal = Chinese full spectrum LED's
5gal = Kessil
3.5gal = T5HO until I move the frag tank over to it and then it will be the kessil

I have a Nuvo 10g fusion.
I'm using a 120w Reefbreaders LEDs.
They were my son's old lights. Why buy more lights when these work just fine.
@ 12" above tank.

40 Gallon Fusion
- Was running a Radion XR15w Pro, though ever since adding T5's, within days I've had colors and poly extension appear out of no where! I was using BattleCorals schedule and getting growth with the Radion, but This T5 just blew it away. Looking for a 6-bulb T5 ATI, so maybe I can swing that in and put the Radion in the middle? :D Or I'll just be selling it off I think.

Hentz - so you scrapped the radion altogether for the t5's? So many of my local reefers are dumping LED for T5 right now its crazy. Or at the very least supplementing the LED with t5

Old school, costly yet effective

I switched the house to LEDs and even with the 150MH, we're still down 10% on our electric bill from same time last year. Of course that includes 2 kids who aren't aware that light switches actually work up AND down...

Dude now that I am 30, married with one kid, I have become my dad. I literally just walk from room to room all day turning off lights, fans, tv's etc.

I upgraded to a wifi thermostat so that I dont have to get up every ten minutes to turn down the heat or AC when the wife blasts them. Best investment I have made to save energy costs.

Will have to look into this for sure. My wife thinks anything less than 74 in the winter is unacceptable

120 watt 16K Maxspect Razor over my 24x24 30 gal. I really like this set-up, sleek looks with a simple and effective self contained programmer.
Tank is still young but I have everything from a Maxima clam to mushrooms and most everything else in between (no zoas though). So far everyone seems to be pretty happy in there.
I'm pleased enough that I just bought their nano version for my Eheim Aquastyle 16 (4.2gal) as the stock light that comes with the tank is not intended for coral tanks.

Even better investment, mine has a lock code on it and only I know the code :cool: If I remember it's a Hunter.

OT- Maxspect R420R 27" 160watt 16k on a standard 29 gallon.

Mine can have a PW too but I married a Puerto Rican girl so if I put on the PW I would have to worry about being stabbed constantly. Better to let her fiddle with it then change it back when she isnt looking...

I'm running a EcoTech XR15w Pro on a JBJ 20 gallon rimless frag tank. One day soon I will do a build thread.
