what protein skimmer do you run??

ok im upgrading to a 220 gal DT and ive already started upgrading from the basement up i have a 75 gal DT now and now ive put in a 125 gal sump/refug/frag/skim with T5 lighting for the frags and i put a x3 rena filter in just incase
right now im running a x2 ASM modded skimmer and it works for my upgrades so far but with me going to a 220 instead upstairs i will need to upgrade the skimmer

so can everyone tell me what size tank/total water volume in there system and name the skimmer and model and if you can throw up a pic

my total volume will be 315 gal and i want the skimmer to be rated alot higher then my total volume because it will be heavily stocked with lots of coral and some fish

I have a 220 as well withe a very similar water volume. I think that I have about 300G total water volume. I am using the MSX 2S cone skimmer and am happy with it. It pulls out 1 gallon of pretty dark skimate every 7-8 days.

im going to be getting more LR loaded in my sump as well to boost bio filtering with the added water volume so far my 130 lbs in my DT just cant keep up

A good choice, in my book. :bounce3: We got ours used from a local reefer with the Baldor pump...

Fed by one of the four overflows on our tank: (Follow the 1.5" clear tubing)

I've seen some good deals on them in the used market. An opportunity to save some big bucks over the new price...
