What salt do you prefer?

RC for me. I've been using it for about 3 years and no problems. I like the $5.99 shipping from Dr F&S as well.

I mainly use IO if i'm making my own...but i do use pre-mixed from my LFS (and never asked what salt they used)

yep me too, however tm pro is also good salt, not a great alk level imo though
No joke when I started using D-D my tank came Alive . Hate to sound like I am doing a add for D-D but colors in & on everything came out over night . By the way I got your welcome to RC last night & thanks .

I had good coraline growth using Kent. I am using red sea coral pro right now. I really don't think it makes much difference if you are just using it for water changes. Any differences in ALK ect. would be diluted.

Bio sea by aquacraft.. I have been contemplating switching to H2O or reefers best but still not sure

Tropic Marine pro

Its the only salt i have found that mixes crystal clear and doesnt leave a brown residue in the mixing container

Wow, great response guys. Thanks so much for your input. I used Crystal Sea, Red Sea, and now using Tropic Marin Pro. The TM Pro is just getting too pricey. I was thinking of using Reef Crystals. It seems like a solid, inexpensive choice.

What is available, on sale or cheap.

That said... I use IO now. Have used Oceanic, Tropic Marine, Reef Crystals, Aquamedic, Ocean Pure, Red Sea. Maybe one or two others.

Ocean Pure dissolved clear quicker then the rest but thats about the only difference I noted between them as far as tank quality. If you dose 2 part already then it doesn't matter about the levels as much. Randy showed how 2 part is cheaper then salt so adding it to the salt mix makes the salt cheaper per gallon. IO with increased mag will be nice :) Lets get another $30 bucket sale going =P.
