What salt for SPS dominated??

You will notice a difference if you switch between different brands. IO is fine as long as you are supplementing some elements for sps corals. If you want an "All In One" salt brand, Oceanic is a great choice. It can get a bit pricey, depending on where you find it at. I like to use a mixture of 60% IO and 40% Oceanic when the option is available. Oceanic is almost a bit rich but every system has different needs.

IO and Oceanic here too and at the same ratio.

Used lots of salt brands in the past. IO, Coralife, RC, DD. I now use ESV B-Ionic. No other salt comes close. Mix your first batch ESV-B Ionic and you will see why. Or you might see nothing at all. ESV always mixes crystal clear within 10 minutes and the parameter are always super accurate. ESV B-IONIC seawater system is the best salt Ive ever used.

do you dose anything to your system as well as use ESV B-Ionic

ESV is a great brand to say the least.

Yes, it is necessary to use 2 part dosing and magnesium to hold DT parameters steady. I just dont have to add anything to salt mix to bump up parameters for a water change. The Alk, CAL, MAG are already pretty high in the ESV salt mix. One thing I really like about the salt mix is that calcium, mag, alk are addded separetley. I weigh all components with a scale and that ensures parameters stay spot on within batches of salt. Batch to Batch seems to be very consistant to. ESV makes some good products. I will probably never go back to IO, RC, CL unless there is no ESV available. Also, was getting tired of the brown dirt ring that some of the other previously mentiond salts left in my brute can.

ugh, I can't do ESV.. The price tag is insane. It's over double the cost of most other salts, and I like ESV brand (bionic is great). I also don't need to supplement anything with IO. I like my ALK in the 8 range and I don't notice much of a change after water changes (do 10% weekly) The calc and mag is pretty good in IO. hW I believe has a bit lower alk which will fit my needs a bit better, and they claim to have some trace crapola.. we shall see. ha..

ESV B-Ionic for me as well. Mixes up fast, clear and spot on. I'm on my 3rd 200gal batch and couldn't be happier.

anyone using Brightwell Aquatics NeoMarine salt? I need something will low alk, around 7-8 dkh

I have been using it for around a year now and love it! Switched to it after switching to H2O and having a huge outbreak. Now I am using BW NeoMarine and am not looking to switch anytime soon. Great product and good price. :)

I am using Royal Nature since 2 months and it seems very good.
The strange thing is when I do a WC, redox remains the same.
With all the others salts (TM,KZ,Matuta etc) redox drops dramatically and then regains its value after a couple days.

IO for me. I used to RC, but the alk was a little too high. Every time I tested alk it was always 13 or higher.
