well wondering what you guys feed your sps. acro's and such. I have been looking at amino acid by elos and other products that promise more color and healthier corals ..what do you use if anything as my fish poop and coral powders really aren't cutting it lately..any input is valued input.
Thanks
Roger

Most of my acros react nicely to oyster eggs. i put a cube of H2O's oyster eggs cubes once every other day. they seem to love it because most of them spit out these white tentacles and i believe thats when they're feeding. Ive been seeing good results lately feeding my acros. growth has increase ,also colors are improving a lot.

I will be following along with this one. As of now I dont feed my sps anything. They get fish poop and catch any food from the water when feeding. I feed a mix of different cubed food and cyclopeez. I have heard good things about Oyster Feast.

i feed this dt's phyto and cyclopeese and red chili, .but want to try the elos amino's and the oyster eggs ..if i do this what would you suggest i feed and how many times a week ..also do you shut down the return pump and the skimmer or just the return and leave the circ pumps running on low feed mode? how long do you leave your tank in feed mode 30minutes or over night from 12 midnight to 7 am with the just the vortechs running or tunze's the circ pumps but not the sump pump so all the nutrients stay for a while in the tank let's face it the dt's and oyster stuff along with amino's etc is expensive and don't want to skimm it out or filter it out.. thanks again for all the answers ...if you have the time post a pic you are proud of and what you feed...

+1 I use the same thing, with the exact same response.
PE has never been better. It's gotten so big that it covers the entire skeleton. Now that is a lot of PE.

Rotifers, oyster eggs (once a week). They seem to also feed off what I feed the fish. Brine shrimp plus Frozen cube from Ocean Nutrition.

the oyster eggs what is the average cost and best place to get them from ? these are fresh live food that needs special shipping so cost is not cheap i take it.

I shut off the return pump for around 2 hours nd turn my mp40s down. I always feed after lights out. It gives the coral time to consume the food before algae dose. I only feed the coral once a week as I think a tank looks better with alot of fish and the coral get fed my fish poo and the little particals in the frozen cubes.

thanks baff will do , since i got that controller i can program a 2 hour standby or an hour and it will shut everything down except the skimmer i will leave on since it is in the sump and the return will be off no harm otherwise too much water will be expelled don't want a spill over..thanks guys hope this help like feeding at night so the algae doensn't feed nice one..
