What to try next for PM?

I have a crocea clam that was looking great, until I added a maxima clam without QTing it (I know, I know...). Both appear to be suffering from pinched mantle. Water parameters look ok (0 NH4, 0 N02, ~5 N03, ~390 CA, can't recall ALK at the moment, but seemed normal). I've inspected for irritants (pyra snails, etc) and don't see anything obvious. None of my fish seem to be pestering it (never have in the past, no new fish).

I've been running carbon based on the searches here regarding PM, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Will a FW dip do anything to help?

do you add any trace elaments?

do you use any PO4 removers?

how are you running the carbon?

can you post a pic of the clam

I only add b-ionic two part supplement (alk + ca). No PO4 remover. The carbon is placed in between the baffles in my sump, in a large 800 micron filter media bag. I'll try to get a pic of the clam up tonight. Thanks!

Here are a couple pics of how it looks as of tonight:

give the clam a 20min FWD and continue running the carbon. when you are giving it the dip take a turkey baster and gently blow water all along the byssal opening and the edge of the shell.

Sorry about hijacking, but...
I am pretty new to SW and it sounds very strange to me when people dip SW creatures in FW to cure a disease. What does the FW do that will help the SW creature?

Larger salt animals cand tolerate the freshwater longer than their small pests. minimal stress on clam=death to parasite
