What type of Anemone is this

first29gallon

I've had this anemone in my tank for about 10 months and the clowns I have never host it. That's not an issue but this thing is getting BIG now and it's taking a chunk of the left side of my 42 gallon tank. I thought I add two skunk clowns to see if they host it or just rid of the anemone but not sure what to do with it then. Does anyone know what type of anemone it is? See pictures. Sorry for the blue light.

Looks like a bubble tip anemone

IMO it's highly unlikely that an LTA will stay on top of that rock for very long. My vote is for Condylactis, which does not host clowns as the are an Atlantic species. Google that name and compare images with yours. Maybe a pic without the blue channel will be clearer, but they are normally white/yellow with colored tips.

Sorry that wasn't meant to be the end of my response. I had to bolt midway and didn't mean to just post what I did.
It looks like a BTA with a lot of flow on it but of course I could be wrong. Also all clowns don't necessarily host an anemone and some are particular as to what kinds of anemones they will host if they host at all.

I think it might be a Condy. When I bought it from my LFS last year it looked more like the Condy pics I saw (had purple tips) but I can't remember the last time I ever saw it look like it did again.
Here is a pic without the blue light

Not sure what else you have in your aquarium, but most I have found diving host a Pederson cleaner shrimp. Beautiful but small and needs a friendly tank I suspect.

In this 42 gallon (+15 gallon sump) I have:
2 clownfish
2 damsel
1 bursa trigger
1 dwarf angel
1 red shrimp
1 pistol shrimp
2-4 Snails
THAT ^ anemone
1 rock/flower anemone

This.

Man that almost looks like a gigantic aptasia....

Edit:
I thought a condy would host clarkies?

Edit 2:

On second review of the pics and the stripes on the oral disc I’m going to go with:
BTA. final answer.

My thought as well.

that is a condy, they have various colors green/brown is not an unusual color. condy's dont generally host being from a different ocean but in rare cases I have seen it.

Condy's are not considered host nems, but a number of times I have seen maroon or clarki take to them anyway, both those clowns will pretty much take any nem given as they are just so eager to take a host.

Some damsels will adapt, I had 6 green chromis that shared a couple nems w/ clowns, but that was not a condy in my personal exp.

Keep in mind condy's do have a stronger sting than most host nems, so keep swim space away and of course never force hosting.

None of my fish ever go near the nem.
