So I received my much anticipated light fixture today. I was supposed to receive a 48" fixture with 2 x 150 HQI, 2 54W T5 actinic and 4 LED moonlights.

Here's what I got: 48" fixture with 2 x 250 HQI, 4 65W PC actinic and 6 LED moonlights.

I wanted the 150 HQI to be safe on the heat since it is going over a 65 gallon tank. I could always raise it up if need be.

Keep it or send it back....thoughts???

well if there's any chance of an upgrade in the next yr. or so...keep it...
otherwise I'd prefer the fixture with the T5s

Hey another person from Indiana, and a real football team fan!!! You got it together my friend.

Without a doubt send it back Power Compacts are old technology and not a great one at that.

You should get what you pay for! No questions asked.

Yeah obviously PC's are a thing of the past but the fixture I received is definitely more expensive with the 250's...what a mix up! That is one heavy *** box if I decide to mail it back.

Any other opinions? I'm leaning towards sending it back. If I wasn't worried about heat issues I might opt to keep it. We'll see how the supplier wants to handle it and go from there.

Go Phins!!!

Well I got offered today to keep the fixture I received and get a 20% refund or I can send it back and get what I ordered. I'm not terribly thrilled with PC's but I'm a little torn honestly. Maybe I can get them to throw in a pump as well :-)
