question. do the dragon face pipefish need to be kept in a species aquarium? i know its off topic but just curious.

IME, probably they should. They need fairly low flow and LOTS of pods.

i've seen people keep them in reef aquariums with other fish dragon face pipefish are better swimmers and more hardy than the other banded pipefish. Just can't have other fish that like to bully others around, and for sps keepers pipefish are supposed to feed on red bugs.
