What's happening to my ORA Plum Krazy frag?

And is it saveable? It's also happening to my Indo Purple Stag

it looks like its rtning... its definitely savable. if it continues to lose its tissue, you should cut off the pieces that lost its tissue and just give it time. good luck

I looked at them when I put them in, I don't notice anything on it like AEFW or red bugs, just some pods hanging out beneath the frag at night :p

If I cut of those pieces, it's going to be almost extremely small, how do you suggest I cut the base that encrusted?

Been reading a bit on RTN and STN. Now I am not so sure this is RTN since it didn't happen all at once, it's more of little patches here and there that are spreading very slowly. The things I am reading say to just let it be for STN... but I'm worried I will lose all my sps :(

Update:

I broke off a few tips, and when I did I notice this small white stringy thing. Is this dead tissue or something else?

Ok, I had to do some research. The spaghetti worm I've seen was more translucent. However, the ones displayed by Google Images seem to be generally whitish. I don't doubt they could exist in other shades too depending on diet and water chemistry.

Update: I took out my bi-color blenny that has been nipping the hell out of my frags and did a 50% water change.

Taking out the blenny required me to remove every bit of LR in my tank (FUN!) and inspect all frags, nothing at all is on them. No pests, no AEFW. However, I did get to see some cool critters up close finally.

I got to see my crab that I found a month or so ago up close finally, cool little dude. I put him back in my tank.

Also, within one hour of removing the blenny and doing a water change, I noticed polyp extension on all my sps minus my purple haze monti. It's not a tremedous amount of PE, but some is better than none. :D

Hopefully everything is going to be ok? *Fingers crossed*

Have you tried to watch him at night? He may be coming out at night and nipping at your corals and hiding out during the day. That damage on the coral definitely looks like a pest of some sort (if it wasn't your blenny.)

I know for sure it wasn't the crab; I watch my tank like a hawk at almost all hours of the night :P Never seen him leave his dead scrolling monti LR home. He is content in it. But, the blenny was returned today and I got a nice firefish in his place, and maybe it is wishful thinking, but I think my corals are already doing much better. All have PE except my purple haze monti :(. So, I shall see how things go.

I have a crab like that in my tank that I blame for eating a clam. I can't wait to get him out of there which will require me to take out 200 lbs of live rock.

The only crab I trust is a Sally Lightfoot and even they seem to get lazy and worthless.
