What's the "best" BTA food??

My GBTA was ne'er death about 10 months ago (given to me as a white BTA) I nursed it back to a nice tan base and green tips but hasn't grown or gotten as dark as it should. I have been feeding it raw shrimp and whatever occasional raw shellfish I might be having for myself. Is there something else it should be getting in stead of shrimp?

Give them light, light and more light.

I also give my PE mysis.
I believe feeding them big chunks is very stressful to them.

I have another thread here with videos and pics.
You can see how fast it can grow. Good luck.

Light hasn't been a problem and after this week will certainly be in abundance. I'm upgrading to LEDs. The kit is in the mail. All the whites are installed and running on 50-75% and the "colors" will be installed weds. I'll set them up to about the same brightness as my T5s and the make adjustments over time.

The more you feed it the faster it grow. All anemones are like that. Too much food and they will regurgitate and get into trouble. If you want it to grow feeding every other or every 3rd day.

My carpet spit out his guts about 2 months ago and haven't eaten since.. Maybe some mysis is what it needs

I feed it randomly. Once a week or so. I have read that more solid foods arnt always good. That's why I'm thinking I should get away from shrimp. Maybe something more snotty like oysters. I have never tried mysis. It dose get some of my fish food blend pretty regularly.

Feed it mysis shrimp every 3 days or so. Ive got an rbta, true carpet, tube, and maxi mini, they all love it and have seen great growth from them.

Coral and anemone (essentially a huge coral) will be darker (more brown) if the light is lower and there is more nutrients in the water. Lighter anemone (not bleached), IMO, are healthier and more beautiful.
Poorly keep reeftank, the coral "brown out". Same with anemones.

Either bad food (spoiled) or bad tank condition. Healthy Haddoni or Gigantea will eat a large fish spit out the bone in 2 days and ready for another large meal. BTAs are not carpets and need smaller pieces of food. Small chunks of 1/2 to 1 cc is fine.

Variety is good. We cannot eat chicken all the time and be healthy, same with anemone. In the wild, I am sure they eat a little of this and a little of that.

I will pick up some mysis asap but since I was just at the market I picked up a fresh oyster and a scalop. I like to feed fresh treats to everyone in the tank. I can hand feed my clowns and yellow coris. It's great fun!
