I found some of these in my tank tonite after the lites went out. What do you think? TBS says their bad and should get rid of them.

They says it bores through barnacles and shells. Anyone have any experience with them. The one i saw went for a dead crab that i hadn't removed yet.

I would go along with TBS Here is an article on whelks. I have seen what they can do to a clam.
