Where Did All the Maximas Go?

Clam Addict!
Where did all the maximas go? I can't find a maxima anywhere locally or online. I heard that they may be in short supply because the growers are keeping them a little longer to grow them out more. Anyone have a good source online with maximas they can post or PM me about? I know a certain website (don't know if I can list them) has plenty of teardrops, but I already have on and am looking for a different maxima to complete my collection.

Yes, I have tried ClamsDirect. They have not had any clams that are not teardrops for at least a month. I can't find maximas anywhere. My local supplier placed an order for maximas and they sent him croceas instead. Needless to say he was very upset. Does anyone know if there is a supply problem with maximas?
Thanks,
Kirklan

LiveAquaria.com lists maximas for sale, but I don't believe they have any in stock. If you go to their divers den for WYSIWYG clams, there are no maximas available. This leads me to 2 conclusions:
1) they do not have any maximas in stock or they would be in WYSIWYG
2) I will not buy anything without having seen it first in at least a picture

The reason liveaquaria doesn't have it in wysiwyg is because they are aquacult. that they have available. divers den is only wild caught

I did find a few maximas at advanced aquatics web site : coralsandsupplies.com
hope that helps

I think my LFS bought them all they got like 13 of them.

Dang!!! Out of the 4 LFS here only 1 has a Maxima and it's a gold one. Since I already have a gold teardrop, I don't want another gold one. I'm hoping to find a nice blue or a rare black one. My LFS a couple of months ago had a nice 4" black and gold maxima (not the teardrop kind) for $70 and I'm wishing I would have bought that one now that I look back.
