Where did my amonia go?

OK im going to ask this question here because though i dont feel im a newby i am new to cycles because my first tank never had a detecable one.

Ok so im setting up the 150 with 80lbs of live rock.. ammonia is at 1ppm... i add 100 more lbs of live rock that has be curing for "a couple weeks" yesturday i check the ammonia this morning, its almost all gone.

Where did it go? My cycle cant be almost done already can it?

There is no set lentgh of time for a cycle. Your amminia could be almost gone by now.

Much depends on the amount of die-off that occured on your rock. Not too much die-off, a smaller cycle. The fact that you added uncured rock to a tank that had cured rock also has something to do with it.

I would make sure your test kit is good and if it is, I'd say you're getting close.

well the 80lbs that was already in there i only put in on wednesday and that was out of water for 2 days but it was cured before it shipped... then i added the other 100 yesturday... sweet hope its almost done i gotta get my fish in this thing
