Where should I place these clams??

Where should they be on the sand or on the rocks?? Will they do better in one of the 2 locactions?

I have 400w Hamilton 14k on my 30g, its 18inches above the water. Tank is 3ft long 12inches wide 16inches deep.

That much light, I would start at sand and move up as they acclimate.

i might even filter the light and slowly remove it over a week or so
