Where to get buldhead in CT?

We're looking to get a 1-1/4" ID (not thread size) bulkhead for a refugium. We'd ordered one by mail but it's 1-1/4" thread size, not 1-1/4" hole (ID) size). My husband is out driving around hitting various plumbing stores without luck. Anyone know of anyplace in the state or Westchester??

Westport Aquarium usually has them. You are most likely looking for a 3/4" or 1" bulkhead. Most stores go by the pipe size that go into the bulkhead.

Where is Westport Aquarium? That must be the only LFS we haven't hit yet within an hour+ of us.

It seems Realm of Pets has them so we're heading there soon. He tried Bob's but it seems he's opening late today (according to a sign on the door).

It's on the very busy corner of the Post Road (US1) and Riverside drive in Westport. If you got off the Merritt on exit 41 head south until you hit the Post Road. Or take I-95 exit 17, and go north until you hit the Post Road.

On that intersection it's a little old house on the south west corner. Parking is on the street, or in a small, hard to get to parking lot on the Post Road, adjacent to the building.

Look for a chalkboard in the first room when you get inside. That will list the sale items. For everything else prices seem flexible, and you'll probably pay less if you leave the Rolex at home.

Thanks! My husband has a customer right near there so he says he knows exactly where it is. He's not the Rolex type but I'll tell him to park around the corner

Yes. IMO parking the Jag in front is another possible path to higher than necessary prices.

Did you find your bulkhead? 1 1/4" hole is usually a 3/4" bulkhead. I was lookingf ro a 1" not long ago and house of fins had them. I actually ordered it from glass-holes and it arrived in two/ three days.

btw - lol doesn't matter what you park in front of Westport, the prices are written on the tank (and still high). Just negotiate, they'll work with you are are pretty nice & knowledgeable people. I just picked up a pearly for 35 on Sunday. Reasonable if you consider shipping. I did overpay for the sureflow 1600 mod, but not by much after shipping.

Ended up ordering through Realm of Pets since what they had in stock was too big. Should be in tomorrow hopefully.
