Where to locate 6100's

Best place to place my 6100's

Tank is 220g (72x24x32)

Clearly putting them where I had my old hagen powerheads is a bad idea (back corners facing front glass)

Actually that is about the correct position back corners aimed 1/3rd in from the end on the front, this deflects the flow at just the right angle for maximum coverage by diffuse flow. Use in combination with tide mode at 4-6hr intervals.

So i stick them to the back glass and angle them to hit the front glass about 1/3 across the front glass from each side?

Tide mode=hook up to socket #8 and #11, set lower switch (#13 in manual) to top spot and #12 switch to the top, put the interval in the middle. Correct?

Now, will this still pulse the power as I have the pulse option doing it today?

What is the advantage of tide vs pulse?

They will pulse while on, this gives a randomness to the flow that prevents detritus accumulation- the only caveat being when off some fish or snails or hermits may go inside and get killed or damage the pump so you need to weigh this in deciding which mode to use.

Fish care isn't out yet, it will be at least one more month. But yes, Fish Care and the program labeled Interval 2 on the 7095 as well as a mechnical system we are working on are all options to solve this problem in the not to distant future.

Hmm - I could have sworn that the manual with my streams mentioned it.

It could be but the shipment I got today still has the old version, I was pretty sure that they would just be being released in Germany this week or next week on the 6200. After a couple weeks go by with no trouble they will come out here. The new driver is a bit more exact in its manufacturing demands since on the 6200 it is really pushed hard we want the first ones close to home, I have been running a hand made Beta version since November without trouble so I think they are just fine but better safe than sorry.

Nope - you're right Roger.

I checked my manual. It says that 7240.27 incorporates fish care. My drivers are 7240.26.
