Which is the best self flip over snails?

Cerith and (I forget) either Turbo or Astrea. I feel like it's Astrea. I currently have Ceriths and they do a nice job. Nasarious snails self-flip as well.

Nassarius snails are the best at self righting themselves. And fun to watch them rise from the sandbed when you feed

astrea's seem to be more of a hassle...always flipping them back... honestly I'm a bit tired of it.

What about the Trochus snails....?

Came to post. Just flipped one over this evening that was upside down when I left for work. I remember thinking "he can flip himself over, or wait until I'm wearing short sleeves."

Most Turbo sp. have a hard time turning themselves over. They can land perfectly upside down on their curved back and if they are not turned over after a day or so, they are done for.
Astrea snails have a pointed shell which makes it very difficult for them to land perfectly upside down. I've found they can be easily preyed on by hermits, fish, and even corals, so the empty shells can build up over time, but I don't think it's from not righting themselves.

Cerith snails have a very narrow body and can right themselves easily. I usually mix a few of all 3 for algae control. Nassarius are good for scavenging, but can not be 100% trusted. I've seen some feeding on upside down Turbo snails. :)

Cerith and Trochus are my "favorite" algae eaters that can right themselves. Turbo and astrea are preetty poor when it comes to self-righting. Nassarius are basically indestructable from a righting standpoint, but they dont eat algae... I usually only keep a couple of those as they eat detritus and uneaten food. I've had a pair of Trochus snails though that are a good 5 years old still with me. Suckers even survived the october storm....

The fact that an organism can die just because it falls on its back seems crazy. You would think they would be extinct by now.

I also find that pyramid snails don't bother Tronchus snails. I have found them on astrea and turbo snails and have lost many snails to pyramid snails or cone snails. Very tiny invert parasite.

Do you have any Trochus, Cerith and Nassarius snails. that we can put together in a reef clean up crew package? Do you think hermit crabs are good? if so can we add them to the clean up crew?
For the church 150.
