which o ring on the 6100 motor block?

I bought two used 6100 and one of them had the buzzer go off, i've soaked it and thought it would run, but then the buzzer went off again. Looking at the post on cleaning I didn't get the bottom piece out of the motor block, so maybe it is stuck in there? Also the orange o ring is stretched too big. I managed to get the outer cover on it but I need a new o ring. Not sure where it is on this site to order it.

The large outer o ring is 3000.020. Remove the upper bearing and be sure the magnet spins smoothly on it and it is clean. I would pour straight vinegar into the hole (no strong acids) and let it sit for a few hours and then try removing it with a pick or a #12 screw or a pair of needlenose pliers.

the upper bearing.....that is the impeller end of it right? not the piece that is at the bottom of the propeller?

Not sure if propeller is the correct term...but what i call it.

It is the part at the bottom of the hole, part 3000.610.

okay, since i left that in it when i soaked it i'm hoping that's my trouble. i'll use a pick and try to get it out.

If you pour some vinegar and let that soak for a while, as Roger suggested, it will all come out nicely. I've done that several times.

I got it out and cleaned everything and still it won't spin. The alarm came on instantly.

Send the pump in, it may be just the drive unit but it may be the motor itself.

Unless it is damaged in someway I don't need it, it obviously works since you get an alarm.

now my other tunze isn't working, no alarm, no flow and the round piece that is near where it plugs into the wall is very hot to the touch. No lights showing on my controller at all.

You can send it in as well or we can wait until this one arrives, maybe the culprit is the same for both. A hot transformer indicates the driver is damaged, is there any chance the driver boxes got wet?

no, but the one heavy circle thing that plugs into the electricity was fine, i checked it before I mailed you the other pump. But then this one quit and it is hot. But it worked fine before, would removing the other pump cause it?

No, it sounds like the driver failed on that pump, on a 6000 that can also happen if the pump is jammed but they also usually sound an alarm in that case. Probably best to send it in as it doesn't sound like the same problem.
