Hello, I'm looking to a 1 Anthias to my 75G reef. The reef has a peaceful stock list of: Kole tang, (carp.)Flasher wrasse, chromis, yellow watchman goby, starry blenny, dwarf flame angel, 2 Ocellaris clowns, Purple dart. Any suggestions on which type of Anthias to purchase-Bartletts, Dispar,Lyretail??

Thanks in advance

DD lists them with a 125 gallon minimum tank size I believe. But they sure don't seem to move around that much. Never understood that minimum.

I could see that for other (( more active )) Anthias, but my "fathead" seemed to say in the same area, and not much of a swimmer.

thanks for the insite. I also see that most recommend 125G, I wonder if they mean if you keep more than one as most people do.?

I'm new but in my research on Anthias, I read that Lyretail Anthias will swim around with a Midas Blenny. That sounds really neat.

I thought the same thing. My midas does not appreciate any anthias near him :(

That's a bummer and good to know. I found the refrence again last night--it was in the book 101 Best Reef Fish under the Midas Blenny listing. Maybe they only hang out in the wild.

Yeah, maybe. I'm sure it isn't coincidence that the midas has the same coloring, even the blue eyes. But who knows... maybe they need a 4 ft radius for their "personal space" :D
