So I've had a 20h set up for going on 8 months now, and I have a few zoas growing and some kenya trees, the only issue I've had is that for some reason the only coralline growth I've had is white coralline. Any reason for this?

Equipment: 175w Aquamaxx 14k MH. Remora w/MJ1200. Ecomod MJ900. TLF Reactor with phosguard and an MJ400. Additional flow from an XP3 with carbon and purigen in it.

My PH has been stable and I'm registering around 5ppm nitrates. The only livestock is a couple hermits, some snails, a damsel, and a pom pom crab.

Are your calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity parameters stable? Also your salt and pH, are they stable too? What are your levels?

I have great coralline growth when all of the listed parameters are stable and are where they should be.

Sometimes the purple will start out green or even white and change later. You can always go to your LFS and get a small rock w/ purple or even a snail or crab that has purple in its shell.
