I am going to Houston for the MACNA and then driving down to Galviston and the surronding area.

All the books say 'sponge eater', that came from necropsy and looking at gut content. Two years ago at MACNA I asked Rich Pyle about that, he said they eat hydroids in the wild, one of his friends had followed the fish around to see what they eat. My guess is that yes they do eat sponges, but not exclusively, they eat a lot of other stuff. Sponges are just slow to digest or incompletely digested, so when the gut content it looked at, sponges are still there. Thats my theory. Anyone else have thoughts?
The other Bandit I have, 3.5 inches, have had for 13 months has done fine on flake, brine, mysis and what every I put in there.
But it does not like green flakes, that is algae.
The little one goes after little tiny flakes, usually eat 2 or 3 then ignores the rest.

he was caught on clam's while porgy fishing on kisma reef. Sorry no pic i didn't have my cam with me and i wanted to get him back in the watter asap.

Try Calling extension 279. We collect a lot of our own fish, so unless you have something that we don't already have in abundance, we probably wouldn't be interested. I do appreciate being informed of unusual sightings or catches even if it's not something you're willing to part with.

I caught a tiny 3" male crosshatch about 2 weeks ago. Males this size or quite rare, as the species are born as females and change as society needs. It went to a petstore in NY (Reef Fantasy) and will likley go on display there. Check it out New Yorkers.
Fishtail22, how are the crosshatch I collected for Atlantis about a year ago (ask Joe)? Still doing good I hope. Please pm me any critical info relating to diet, behaviour, etc should you find the time.

I know Copps collects his own fish. You may want to search his threads because I've seen recent pics of his collections.

Holy resurrection Batman! This thread is 5 YEARS OLD.
