Who thinks there needs to be a good Fish Shop in the Southern tier?

I agree about the commons but what about right here in bing? i mean id support it like crazy. I cannot get enough of this hobby. as far as no monthly meets...why not make it happen? like AA haha we all have an addiction! Here Ill start "Hi my names Dexter and Im addicted to Fish" lol Jk but no seriously screw the flyers well repost em! I think the people maybe at Livingstons Animal Kingdom might let us post there. What about a co op shop with reefers supporting the shop with frags and such. It is possible we just need to be determined and let our voices be heard, i mean they are stupid not to listen to our advice with money in hand seriously now..just my .02 cents sorry for the tangent

Sounds good to me. I'm Vince and I have a problem...lol... I tried before but we can put them up again. I can get the flier file from Nate he did a pretty good job on it.

huh? that guy the fishdoctoralso posted something that violated the terms not you. His post was deleted.

We are in the process of setting up a small scale shop in the back of our house. Currently working on it and should be up and running within a year. Going to house our 375 reef, with 6 growout tanks, and also going to try my hand at breeding clowns and going to get 6 of the more rare pairs. If it dosent work out, still will have tons of frags and fish for my collection!!! Just went this weekend and picked up 42 different corals. Drove from Way down in ohio back to ny and picked them up along the way!!!!!! STAY TUNED!! LOL

Where are you located?

Located between Falconer and Mayville on Route 380. I will let everyone know when we start to sell. Right now i am trying to build my stock up so if anyone has frags that they want to sell, i will probably be more than happy to buy them as long as they are the right price!!!! Everything goes!!!

Like i said though, i am not afraid to make a drive for a killer deal. Bought 28 corals from one person this weekend!!!! And going back in a couple months for another load!!! LOL

i have a ton of large softie colonies that im willing to sell a nice colt ..slow grower but this 1 is big. also im selling a large 90 bow front in 2 months too .

no doubt the Binghamton area needs a decent LFS!

no doubt the Binghamton area needs a decent LFS!

I go through that area a lot and the LFS's I've visited remind me of the Syracuse LFS's before ABC opened: BAD!

The quickest way to improve your situation over there would be to convince an existing LFS to hire someone that actually knows what they're doing with reef aquariums.

It is unfortunate but the 2 of them are pet stores and don't really care to have a dedicated person for salt water critters. If the economy was better I'd start one but the major companies in the area who hire higher income people have been laying off for the past 2 years and it doesn't seem to be changing so there really won't be a growing population of people in the area. If anything more and more paid people are leaving the area and more and more welfare recipiants are moving in. It is quite sad acctually.

Been to all except ABC and they are all fantastic. G is a wealth of knowledge and a great guy on the forums so my guess is ABC is a great shop as well.
