...as in, how the heck do you open them? Tropic Marin Pro Reef, 200 gallons....I've worked up a major sweat trying to pry the lid off with a chisel, to no avail.

Also, no label on the bucket like before...what's up with these things? Makes me think twice about ordering this salt again!

Hi,

Thanks for your post, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble your having. I looked at the item in question in our warehouse, I noticed that on each side of the bucket, very close to the lid there is a small opening where you can insert to finger and lift the lid open. I had a little trouble myself trying to open the lid.

I believe the manufacturer may have reinforced the lids to prevent them from opening during transit.

As far as the label goes, I spoke to my inventory control manager regarding your situation, as far as he see's all of the buckets have their labels on them since they are printed directly on the buckets themselves. If you could provide me with your order number, I can further look into why there was no label on the bucket as you mention. You can private message me or email me at Customercare@marinedepot.com send it attention Walter

I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Walter

Hi Walter, thanks for your reply. I may have a different kind of bucket because no openings are visible as you describe. Also, there is nothing printed on the bucket--it is an unmarked, pure white bucket. I will follow up in a pm with my order number

thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your response, one of our customer service representatives located an email that you had sent us earlier regarding the situation that allowed us to further look into the problem.

It appears that UPS damaged the original bucket in transit and put the salt in a new bucket. Two of our representatives have seen this happen before when ups uses a different bucket. This also explains why you are having trouble opening the bucket.

We have filed a shipping claim for the damaged bucket of salt and are sending you a replacement at no extra cost to you, You should receive an email confirmation shortly.

Please let me know if you have any further assistance to you

Walter
