that really stinks so workers and local reefers can promote going to one particular store but that store owner is not allowed? i dont see how he promoted himself except to offer his shipping services in helping that one out of towner and then to announce he was having a customer appreciation party . . .anyone see something else?

orca should contact brm and let them know what can be acceptable and not acceptable on the boards and have reef central reinstate them as members of the boards. orca should show some support in some way to a store that supports them with the 10% off . . . just my 2 cents

i like to come on to see whats for sale, ask advice in the new to hobby and check out the clowns thats about it, shame he couldnt have been sent an email letting him now although he is new there are a few things he cant say. im sure he didnt recognize the comments as promoting his store . . .the party was all to say thanks with food and music, drinks and discounts. they are great people and its a shame to see more lovely individuals off the boards thanks to people not seeing them as lending a helping hand but competing for a lfs spot

everyone has their own opinion and i know ill be attacked for going against the grain and not going along with everything orca and its members has to say but thats just me . . . brutally honest and dont like to see great people penalized because people take their jobs too seriously. campus police come to mind

i like what orca goes out to do and provide information and help local reefers but some of its members unfortunately rub me the wrong way. still loved going to george and jo's and listening to russell talk about . . .well just about anything the guy has crazy knowledge

When you register, it provides a complete listing of the rules of this forum, which are pretty simple to follow. He was warned once, and took no caution, so hence his privileges of posting on here were revoked.

This was RC's doing, not orca. Although the mod's often come off as stickler's on here, they have to be to keep this massive site running smoothly. Have you ever taken a look at how many people are on here at one time?

Let me put it to you all this way....... We have rules, and they are applied evenly providing (read close, as THIS is where you guys have an issue) we know about it. There are thousands of new posts daily here, we are a community of 200,000 + members, word wide. Our staff numbers well under 100. It's impossible for us to be in every forum, all day long. We count on folks to participate here within the guide lines of our [ua]. Because it is inevitable that people can not all be trusted, we have a link at the bottom of EVERY SINGLE POST that says "report this post to a moderator". We depend on members to give us a heads up when a post, especially one in a club forum needs attention.
I live 1,000 miles away from you guys, do you think I came here today looking to buy used equipment from you?
So, in short, I'll be receiving email notification of every new thread in this forum, and I'll be checking them all to make sure that every single one conforms to the rules and regulations set forth in our [ua]. I wouldn't want to see anyone else fall through the cracks.
For those of you that do the right thing, just because it's the right thing to do, my being here should be at most a minor inconvenience.
