Who's going to the party at Blue Reef Marine Friday?

Adding to what Larry has said, we do not allow sponsors to promote their business anywhere but their own forum. Everytime a business gets in trouble that's the first thing we hear. If a sponsor is promoting their business, it gets removed just like everyone elses, they get the same warning also. People should really not jump to conclusions here.

When you register, it provides a complete listing of the rules of this forum, which are pretty simple to follow. He was warned once, and took no caution, so hence his privileges of posting on here were revoked.

This was RC's doing, not orca. Although the mod's often come off as stickler's on here, they have to be to keep this massive site running smoothly. Have you ever taken a look at how many people are on here at one time?

You are going to upset the conspiracy theorists if you use logic and common sense. It is obviously sorely lacking from many posters on this thread.

WOW!
I would quote your posts and respond individually, but with the apparent hatred for this board that exists among your club's membership, I'd likely get a little venomous, myself.

FWIW, there are browsers and posters on the RC site and ORCA web site that are not ORCA members. Anyone can register to sign up to either board without a club affiliation.

I don't believe for a minute that the vast majority of actual ORCA members have any disdain or hatred for the RC Boards.

It seems that every other month or so the same ground is revisited and people seem to need to be re-calibrated as to the policies and rules of these free forums...

I'd like to thank those ORCA members that respect and adhere to RC's policies. I'm certain that it's the majority here, and as usual, it's the standard 80/20 rule at work here...

Additionally, as Larry touched on, we rely very heavily on our members to police each other and RC policies. If anyone sees something that isn't right I.E. A store owner promoting his store, selling via PM etc... please use the "report this post to a moderator" button which is located at the bottom of every post...

Regards,

Folk's posts speak for themselves. It's not hard to read someone's post history, and get a solid understanding of their appreciation, or lack there of for this tremendous resource. Cases like this are a reason that you can not edit your own posts weeks or months down the road. Everybody is responsible for their posts, even if it went unnoticed at the time.
People with no appreciation for, and/or nothing to add to this community may be asked to leave. Those deemed detrimental to the board can be removed, per the [ua]

".........The moderators can, and will, remove the posting privileges of any person who does not wish to follow the rules, or in the opinion of the moderators is a detriment to the site."

nauti1us,
I'm confident that we can put a stop to that cycle of constant need for recalibration ;)

shame he couldnt have been sent an email letting him now although he is new there are a few things he cant say. im sure he didnt recognize the comments as promoting his store . .

He had been previously warned ;)

Making a first transgression does not normally result in a ban, it's the pattern of repeated transgressions after having been warned that bring the ban stick into play.
